Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean, and thanks to its complex history boasts one of the richest and most diverse cuisines in all of the region.
Originally settled by the Greeks in the BC era, Sicily was under Arab rule from the ninth to eleventh centuries, and over the years since has taken many culinary influences from the Normans, Spanish, North Africans, and the island's own substantial Jewish population.
The resulting fusion of spices, fresh produce and seafood, cooking techniques like "agrodolce" - and some of the best street foods in Italy - make Sicilian cooking truly unique!
Join us for the summer edition of our Sicilian Cooking series where we'll prepare a delicious sampling of seasonal dishes. When we're done cooking, you'll sit down with fellow guests to enjoy the meal we've prepared together!
