Hands on, interactive cooking classAbout this experience
Join us for the Spring edition of our fun, informative, hands-on Homemade Pasta Class! Tonight chef Daniela will show you how to make two delicious Southern Italian varieties of rustic, handmade semolina pasta that are perfect for enjoying with seasonal sauces.
You'll learn everything you need to know about this simple, versatile type of pasta: how to make the dough, roll it out, and form it into popular shapes like cavatelli, orecchiette, strozzapreti, busiati and maccheroni al ferretto. We'll also learn how to make two delicious sauces - made with Ontario Spring veggies - that pair perfectly with the types of pasta we're making!
And speaking of seasonal produce - we'll also make a make a hearty, Southern Italian cauliflower and pepper salad as tonight's side dish and a refreshing strawberry sorbet for dessert!

With more than 10 years experience in the Italian restaurants, Daniela has dedicated the last 6 years to making and teaching fresh handmade pasta.
Her dream is to open her own Pastificcio (pasta shop) to showcase her skills, offer the community her skillfully handmade pastas, and share her unique experiences as a female Italian-Canadian pastaia.
