Vegetarian Cooking Class (Winter Edition) | Wed Jan 17

Hands on, interactive cooking class

$135.00 per ticket

About this experience

Some people still think that vegetarian cuisine is like "normal" cooking, minus the meat. But of course most traditional foods - especially from warmer regions like the Mediterranean - are plant-based. And thanks to the many regional cuisines within Italy, there's an endless variety of Italian vegetarian recipes to explore.

During tonight's hands-on, interactive class we'll make some great cold-weather vegetarian dishes, with an emphasis on the freshest, most locally sourced ingredients available this time of year - winter produce like squash, mushrooms, fennel, fresh herbs and apples. And of course some pantry staples like house-preserved tomatoes, pulses and legumes.

After we're done cooking together, you'll sit down at a long harvest table with fellow guests to enjoy the meal we've prepared together, served by our staff and chef.

Gnocchi di zucca - Butternut squash gnocchi with butter and sage

Minestrone genovese - Hearty northern Italian veggie soup with tomato, Swiss chard, barlotti beans, savoy cabbage, pasta and a fresh zing of Genovese pesto to finnish

Insalata di funghi gratinati e rucola - Roasted oyster mushroom and arugula salad

Finocchi brasati - Braised fennel

Torta di mele - Nonna-style apple cake
