Panforte (Fig & Walnut)

This particular variety of panforte was born from an idea of Giuseppina Bonelli due toe the shortage of raw materials during wartime.

She created a new type of panforte with fig and walnut, instead of the classic one with candied fruit. And just like that a new classic was born - which today rivals traditional panforte in popularity!
