About this experience

Join us for a 4-course meal with chef Laura Panarese, featuring favourite dishes from her native Salento, in the southern region of Puglia! 

Laura is a graduate of the Accademia Marchesi in Milano and worked for many years in nearby Emilia-Romagna before immigrating to Caanda in 2018 to work with Toronto’s most famous Emiliano chef, Gabriele Paganelli. Today she is the executive chef at Stile, a private dining space at Speducci Mercatto. 
Tonight's event will be a seated dinner (not a cooking class!) but as always it will be relaxed, interactive and social. Laura will talk to you about her background, demonstrate and explain how dishes are made, and answer any questions you have.  



Pittule alla pizzaiola - Mini fried pizzas stuffed with tomato and herbs   
Polpettine fritte - Mini Pugliese style meatballs 
Peperoni cornetti fritti - Fried sweet peppers 
Funghi gratinati - Mushrooms "au gratin" 


Orecchiette con le Cime di Rapa - Homemade orecchiette with rapini 


Polpo al sugo in pignata - A classic Salentino dish: octopus, potato, tomato, wine and herbs, slow cooked in "pinnate" (traditional terracotta pots) 
Bombette pugliesi - Fillet of pork wrapped in pancetta, stuffed with caciocavallo and herbs. 


Torta pasticciotto pugliese – Pugliese crostata with custard filling and a touch of citrus, similar to torta della nonna 




A selection of wines, beers and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the event. 

We also offer corkage, the fee is $15 per bottle.

• Tickets to Cucinato events are transferable - you can give them to someone else if you can’t attend (but please notify Cucinato in advance!)
