Join us for the summer edition of our fun, hands-on Homemade Pasta Class!
Tonight chef Giovanna will show you how to make two delicious varieties of homemade semolina pasta that are perfect for summer pasta dishes.
Giovanna will teach you everything you need to know for making this simple, versatile type of pasta: how to make the dough, roll it out, and form it into popular shapes like cavatelli, maccheroni al ferretto and strozzapreti.
We'll also learn how to make two simple, delicious, seasonal sauces using the freshest seasonal ingredients from organic farmer Enzo Frati of Fratti Farms!
Once we're done, you'll sit down to enjoy the meal we've prepared, and a few others we've prepared for you, all served by the Cucinato team.

Cavatelli ai broccolini - Homemade cavatelli with broccolini aglio e olio
Strozzapreti ai funghi - Homemade pasta with a hearty mixed mushroom ragu (pioppino, oyster and cremini)
Insalata mista di stagione - Seasonal salad with a variety of mixed greens
Granita alle fragole - Homemade granita made with fresh Ontario strawberries
ABOUT GIOVANNA
"When you grow up in Emilia Romagna," says chef Giovanna, "there are two things that you can't live without: piadina and fresh egg pasta. Since a very young age I have 'had my hands in the dough' (le mani in pasta, as we say), and one dough after another here I am! I spent the last 10 years working in the world of restaurants, and over those years more my love for the traditional food of my own home only grew. I'm looking forward to share]ing this love with anyone who wants to join me in this experience."

A selection of wines, beers and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the event. We also offer corkage, the fee is $15 per bottle.
