Cucinato partner / wine producer Gaia Massai is excited to launch a new series of all-women wine tasting events. Each tasting will feature Italian wines from different regions and grape varieties, and each wine will be accompanied with food pairings by a visiting chef.
The series is a great opportunity for Gaia to collaborate with other female artisans and entrepreneurs like Wanda Srdoc, whose white truffles we’re featuring for this inaugural Women & Wine event. Wanda will share stories and tips for working with truffles and truffle products, while Gaia introduces each wine, its characteristics and history.
Food pairings will be prepared by chef Deborah Verginella, chief culinary officer at Caplan’s Miele Gallery.
The structure of the evening will be light and interactive – no long lectures! It’s all about mingling and interacting with old friends and making new ones, networking with professionals from all industries, and sampling delicious Italian wines and food pairings.

Pairing: Bite-sized tagliata (steak) truffle salt & arugula; creamy polenta; roasted fennel and shallots
Wine: Solara Romagna DOCG Albana Passito (Emilia Romagna)
Pairing: olive oil cake with truffle honey
