Join us for a very special introduction to cooking with truffles, hosted by Toronto’s First Lady of Truffles herself: Wanda Srdoc, a fifth generation truffle producer & importer! Wanda’s family are from Istia, a mountainous peninsula region where northern Italy, Croatia and Slovenia meet.
During this laid back, interactive event you’ll learn how to properly handle, store and work with truffles. We’ll also demonstrate some fool-proof dishes you can make at home to impress your guests. From appetizers to mains and even desserts, cooking with truffles is simpler and less expensive than you might think!
The menu for the evening will include:
Wanda’s popcorn di tartufo (truffle popcorn) & complementary Capo Capo Spritz when guests arrive
Tagliere di tartufo — mixed antipasto tray featuring meats, cheeses and preserves, featuring truffle-fused honey and truffle pâté
Bruschetta al tartufo nero — black truffle bruschetta
Gnocchi al tartufo bianco – housemade gnocchi with white truffles
Vanilla gelato with truffle salt, truffle oil and truffle-infused chocolate
A selection of Wanda’s fresh truffles and truffle products will be available for purchase at the event.
SELECT WINES will also be available for purchase by the glass or bottle. You can also bring your own wine for a $15 / bottle corkage fee.
