Traditional Italian Easter Dinner with Chef Luciano Schipano

Join us for this special four-course traditional holiday meal hosted by chef / culinary tour guide Luciano Schipano. A native of the Catanzaro province in Calabria, Luciano has carefully recreated the traditional Easter meal of his childhood and is excited to share his family traditions with you!

Tutti a tavola con chef Luciano!

Capocollo – Artisanal salame
Ricotta di pecora – Fresh sheep’s milk ricotta
Peperoncini piccanti ripieni – Pickled hot peppers stuffed with tuna and capers
Sardine fritte – Fried sardines lightly dusted in batter
Braciole di maiale – Pork crocchette rolls 
Pitta maniata (m’piulatu) – Homemade Calabrian focaccia stuffed with caciocavallo cheese, soppressata, pork rind and boiled eggs

Ziti con ragù di capra – Southern Italian pasta dish with goat ragù, served with the stewed meat on the side (family style)

Tiella di agnello – Traditional baked dish of lamb, potatoes and herbs
Insalata mista – green salad

Served buffet style
Cuccupe co l’ova – Traditional Easter brioche with dough criss-crossed over coloured hard-boiled eggs
Ginetti – Calabrian puff cookies with a hint of lemon
Pitte cu niepita (nepitelle) – Stuffed confection with chocolate, dried fruit and nuts

Wine / Corkage 

A selection of Italian wines will be available for purchase with the meal. Or if you would like to bring your own wine there is a $15 corkage fee.
