Tuscan Wine Tasting Dinner: The Wines of Tenuta del Buonamico – SOLD OUT

Cucinato is excited to partner with boutique wine agency Capital B Wines for this special terroir event, where guests will have the opportunity to taste and learn about six exclusive wines from a single Tuscan estate – Tenuta del Buonamico.

The tasting will be guided by Belinda and Tim Brown of Capital B Wines, with food pairings by Cucinato partner / chef Massimo Bruno.

This fun, informative, interactive wine tasting dinner is suitable for all wine lovers – from novices to experts!

About Tenuta del Buonamico

The scenic 100 hectare Tenuta Buonamico is a family-owned estate located in the rural commune of Montecarlo (Lucca), half way between Florence and Pisa. Buonamico is owned and operated by the Fontana family, who have worked closely with esteemed winemakers Alberto Antonini and Paolo Lapini to cultivate a diverse range of wines that naturally complement the rich complexity of the soil in the region.

The Buonamico approach to winemaking is to continually innovate through testing and research, with a high regard for tradition and a deep respect for vineyard’s ecosystem and environment.


1. Particolare Brut Rose
Sparkling rose made from a Sangiovese and Syrah grapes, made in the Charmat method; elegant in taste with a fragrant, fruity and fresh flavour

Food pairing: Lemon garlic shrimp skewers; mini cups of white fava pureee with crostini and spinach

2. Montecarlo Bianco
Blend of Trebbiano Toscano, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Roussanne and Chardonnay, separately vilified and fermented before bottling. Intense fresh fruit, floral; crisp, well balanced

Food pairings: burrata cream with roasted tomatoes; scallops with capers and lemon

3. Etichetta Blu
Montecarlo DOC, a blend of Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense, complex flavour; bold structure enhanced by barrel-aging of Sangiovese grapes for 7 months

Food pairings – Handmade Fetuccine with porcini and oyster mushrooms; baked gnudi with butter & sage

4. Viognier
IGT Toscana, 100% Viognier, aged in stainless steel for optimal freshness in taste; citrusy, well balanced, crisp minerality, slight fruitiness in aftertaste

Food pairing – Sea-salt crusted branzino

5. Il Fortino
100% Syrah, a Super Tuscan highly touted by critic James Suckling (94 pts); full bodied and super smooth on the palate,

Food pairings – Florentine steak; grilled vegetables

6. Particolare Dolce
100% Moscato, winner of Best Sweet Wine in Italy for the past 3 years. Semi-sweet, low sugar, with light hints of vanilla. Pairs perfectly with desserts or on its own

Food pairing: Crema di ricotta with pistachio and wine reduction

Note: All wines served during this evening’s tasting dinner  will be available for purchase through Capital B Wines.
