Gourmet Pizza & Wine Event

Tonight’s menu will feature six gourmet pizzas prepared by master Neapolitan pizza maker Pasquale Ponticiello, one of Canada’s top Italian pizza chefs. Pasquale has over 30 years experience as a pizzaiolo, instructor and industry consultant in Canada and Italy. Working side-by-side with Pasquale will be Michael Bou-Younes, head chef at Faema Academy and former Chef de Cuisine at Pizzeria Libretto.
Pasquale’s menu degustazione (tasting menu) will feature classics like Margherita DOP and Diavolo and many non-traditional ingredients like white truffles, zucchini flowers and dark chocolate. Each course will be paired with a fine wine selected and presented by Carolyn Balogh of Stem Wine Group, one of Ontario’s largest and most respected importers of fine Italian wines.
The setting for this very special event is the beautiful Faema Academy kitchen and event space, located on the second floor of the historic Faema building on Dupont St.
