POSTPONED – Giulio’s Organic Pasta Making Class

March 25 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Giulio is an artisanal pasta maker who works with local, organic grains that are better for your health and more sustainable than commercial flours typically used in large-scale pasta making. His classes are designed to teach the art of making pasta, but also Giulio’s approach to cooking: healthy, delicious, and deeply inspired by his Italian roots.

In tonight’s hands-on cooking class, Giulio will show you how to make tagliatelle from scratch using an Einkorn wheat from K2 Milling, located just an hour north of our studio. We’ll also make an organic mushroom sauce that perfectly complements this type of pasta – it’s a perfect cold weather dish!

To pair with the pasta we’ll also make a few side dishes: stuffed zucchini and orange and fennel salad.

And finally for dessert we’ll prepare a simple olive oil cake using spelt flour from K2 and extra virgin olive from San Quintino, the family farm of Cucinato’s Gaia Massai.
