Baking Class: Taralli, Grissini & Wine Cookies
September 29 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm$90
Everyone’s favourite baker Anna Sottile (Italy at Home) is back with the next edition of her series of classic recipe classes, this time featuring some of Italy’s most beloved savoury treats! As always it will be a fun, casual, hands-on affair and students will take home a box of goodies to enjoy at home!
Recipes we’ll make during the class
Grissini – is there anyone who doesn’t love these crisp, rustic, salt-kissed bread sticks? Originating in the northern city of Torino, today this traditional pane croccante is enjoyed all over Italy and across the globe!
Taralli – the Southern Italian answer to grissini are these beloved, versatile, ring-shaped confections that come in many variations (olive oil, fennel, hot pepper, even sweet versions) – tonight we’ll show you the basic recipe you can flavour any way you like at home.
Biscotti di vino – a classic (and delicious) cucina povera recipe, these simple, semi-sweet cookies were a great way to use up leftover ingredients like wine and flour
