This event is the first in a series of collaborations between chef Massimo Bruno and wine producer Gaia Massai. Each evening will feature a selection of wines and complementary food pairings from a different region of Italy.

We begin with Massimo’s home region of Puglia, the largest wine-producing area in southern Italy. Puglia is known for its extensive coastline and long, sunny summers, producing many ripe, fruit-forward reds. But inland and in the northern stretches nearing Molise, quality whites are increasingly being produced.

Gaia has selected top quality producers representing the best Pugliese wine varieties available in Ontario today. She and Massimo will explain some of the key characteristics of each variety and producer, as well as the food parings they have chosen to highlight the region and its wines.
